Started during a residency at Chaco Culture National Historical Park. I'd spend time out there just watching, the way light moves across that landscape, how the canyon walls hold color differently depending on the hour. The blue band and the burnt orange beneath it aren't symbolic, they're closer to a direct transcription of what I was looking at, filtered through the line system I already work in.
